LEARNING CONNECTIONS

Learning Connections is a consortium of high schools, colleges, and universities in Arizona that work together to provide smooth transitions for all learners at all levels.  Its members are:

ASU West      CCUSD      DVUSD      NAU      PVUSD      RIO    PVCC

LEARNING CONNECTIONS MISSION

Learning Connections is committed to maximizing learning opportunities for all residents of our communities. The consortium identifies shared interests, anticipates and responds to needs, and explores opportunities to integrate and coordinate plans, resources, and activities.  Implicit in the consortium's mission is the importance of enhancing student, staff,and organizational learning.

LEARNING CONNECTIONS FOCUS TEAMS

Various focus teams, comprised of representatives of consortium members, are established and meet regularly to establish goals and action plans relating to a specific area of interest shared by each of the member institutions.

LEARNING CONNECTIONS LIBRARY FOCUS TEAM

Mission Statement: 

• Support information literacy competencies within the framework of the Learning Connections mission
• Identify shared interests and needs of member institutions
• Collaborate and coordinate information literacy issues at the high school, community college, and university levels
• Help students transition successfully through levels of education

LEARNING CONNECTIONS LIBRARY WEBSITE

Purpose of the Library Website:

• Provide information and resources that support learners at the various institutes of learning
• Aid transition of instruction at all learning levels
• Support information literacy competencies at the various learning levels
• Provide a tool for library collaboration of consortium members

The library team stopped meeting the fall of 2006 when Learning Connections scaled back special area vertical teams.
